The bike is at the shop getting some TLC after too many hours of riding in cold, hard rain. The mechanic called last night though to mention that my Thomson stem has a crack in it. I failed to ask whether it was the faceplate or the stem itself, but does anyone have experience working with Thomson or know if they have a lifetime warranty on their parts? I went with their stems and seat posts because they’re supposed to be highly durable, which is ideal for an ultra clydesdale like myself.
I sent Thomson an e-mail asking some of these questions already and am awaiting a response. I’m hoping I can figure this out soon so I can tell the shop whether they should order a new one or not for their weekly Tuesday parts order list.
Any experience with Thomson?
