Third Thursday Happy Hour season is upon us

    Okay folks, it’s time to start Third Thursdays again. Like last year, May’s third Thursday falls on the day before BTWD, so I’d like to propose this year’s inaugural TTHH be a Bike to Work Day’s Eve Happy Hour, Thursday May 15, at Westover Beer Garden. Would a 6pm start work?

    BTWD is Friday, so I don’t think the PM pit stops will be a concern. I’ll be out of town that Thursday, but think a Westover Beer Garden happy hour is a great idea. I hope to make it to one there someday!

    Oops…editing error. Originally I was thinking a Friday HH, but since Thursday is third Thursday, I thought this would be a good opportunity to restart the tradition. That said, we can do it Friday if people prefer that.

    I think I might prefer Friday since BtWD potentially involves an early start. That said, it ain’t ever that hard to drop by Westover for a pint.

    So why is there a problem with having a Third Thursday Happy Hour and a BTWD Happy Hour? Seems reasonable to me.

    I’m happy to have people show up for both! That’s the advantage of living across the street from the Beer Garden.

    Maybe a new thread title would help, e.g., Friday happy hour this month on BTWD?

    (Thinking that calling it a BTWD Happy Hour might lead to hundreds showing up expecting freebies/swag, etc.)

    How about Bike to Work FriDay Happy Hour (mid-word capitalization intended)?
