With the convoy arriving that late, it would help to have at least a few people there earlier to help save tables. So please join me earlier if you can. Some people seemed to be needing their beers on Tuesday. ;)

be careful out there folks, bad weather a brewin’ this evening, and social lubrication some times makes you feel invincible.

Pardon my ignorance, but where (street address) is the meeting place for the Boomer Beer Train (BBT) this evening?
I may be able to sneak out of work to make it there in time…

On East Basin Drive SW, right across the street from the Jefferson Memorial. It’s the DC foot of the 14th Street Bridge.

Google Maps does not yet have the TJ Memorial Capitol Bikeshare station listed, but this is the bus stop right next to it:

The forecast is looking better! Just a reminder that all are welcome to join us – lurkers and newbies too!

Just come, or join the convoy.

Riding with Powerful Pete would make anyone feel invincible.

    Darn straight.

That is why I always let others pull and I draft…

You guys don’t have to wait up for me if I can’t keep up. My coworkers had to stop and wait for me several times when we rode back towards Alexandria after work the other day. :D

The CaBi station shows up in the map here, when you enter “Jefferson Memorial” in the Find A Station box:
    https://secure.capitalbikeshare.com/map/

I can’t believe I’ve passed it on every commute ride but never noticed it.

Not going to make it :( I need to have a call at 6:30 PM with a vendor for our wedding who needs to order supplies tomorrow or else the sky will fall down or something. Aye. Probably my fault for forgetting the schedule or something.

And a good time was had by all who braved the rainstorm that didn’t happen:) d2078137c71c1d17e93545a0f29f4820.jpg

It was fun riding in a convoy with Boomer and Powerful Pete.

Instead of flash flooding and torrential downpours, I got to enjoy good draft beers and good company. Tried to save a pretzel for KWL – maybe next time, sir!

Got home with just a light sprinkle – hopefully everyone else also had good rides home.

Indeed, pleasure making your acquaintance GovernorSilver!

As always, a big thank you to ArlingtonRider for putting this all together, and to all the esteemed cycling colleagues who made it out to the TTHH.

Also, grazie Boomer for leading a convoy to the brewery and to you and Steve for putting up with me on a bit of the home stretch.

Many thanks to all who showed up. That was a lot of fun! (Several people were still there when I left shortly before 9 p.m.)
