Hey everyone, looking fwd to tonight! I assume most of everyone will be biking there? Can I share a lock with any one? Forgot to bring mine, can’t remember the bike rack situation there though. Hopefully, see you tonight.

Didn’t the Surgeon General issue an advisory on cyclists sharing locks?

There are generally no shortage of locks so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Meant to bike to work today, but slept in too much (upstairs neighbors had family over and decided to play music all night).

Plus it was wet (my whine, not yours – and I still rode ;))!

I did that too. Then I was all “Oh, I’ll be 20 minutes late if I ride, so I’d better take the bus.”

Then the bus sat in traffic and I was 20 minutes late. 😡

After waking up with the littlest, who has figured out that if he wakes up SUPER early he can have mommy-only time, I took a little nap. Then it became a long nap, and I was late for work. Whoops.

Can someone send out details again, on the slight chance I can convince family to come? Would it be toddler friendly?

Would love for you to come! I don’t think there would be any problem with toddlers, but they should expect to be carded. ;)

We officially start at 5 pm, at an outdoor table at Capital City Brewery in Shirlington. Parking is free in various garages after 5 pm. If you google “Parking in the Village of Shirlington” there’s a nice parking map that also shows where Cap City is. Our group will be happy to see you!

Just checked with Cap City – no problem. Please let me know if you need any more info.

I know my U-Lock will not fit around two bikes, but I can bring a spare cable lock if you want. Just respond or send me a PM and I will throw it in my bag.

Dickie, Rando Guy and DBB, No worries about lock. I have it covered. I have multiple locks and will be coming from just a couple of blocks away.

You’re still allowed to come to the happy hour. Bonus if you pretend you rode there.

please feel free to show up even as a spur of the moment decision (although it’s still helpful if you can let me know)!

The moment just spurred. I plan to be there.

I’ll make sure to get really sweaty on the bus and complain about the lack of bike parking. “I had to park my bike down the street!”

Ugh, workers are still at the house. Will be leaving as soon as they do…
