This is a bump up from cold and rainy Chicago. I’m looking forward to celebrating Spring (or summer?) with everyone! Despite pouring rain here, I saw a lot of cyclists downtown yesterday, as well as one awesome track stand.

Please try to let me know before Weds. if you plan to come to the happy hour so I can reserve enough outdoor table space and get good service for us. All are welcome!

Because I am terrible (REALLY terrible) at remembering names, everyone should have nametags and/or a specific color that they wear at all times when biking. My idea is taken from Power Rangers (one of my childhood favorite tv shows) where the characters all wore the color of their ranger uniforms when not fighting to save the world. That, and we have to figure out a way of attaching all our bikes together (I call it the Bicyczord) to take down Penn Ave U-turners, cycletrack blockers, and other enemies of the cycling world (my imagination runs sometimes).

Thanks for all the responses to date. It’s great to see several first timers on the list too! If anyone has any questions, please let me know. The price of admission (showing up ) includes nametags. Capital City’s happy hour pricing has $2 beers and half price appetizers.

While I’ll plan for a few last minute folks, it’s still very helpful if you can let me know before Wednesday if you plan to come. It looks like we’ll have great weather on the 18th for the season’s kick off!
