ParticipantI’m in, but did they change their bill-paying policy?
For those unfamiliar with this, we had a situation a few months ago where we were told that Cap City was no longer doing separate checks for large groups and that people’s checks were being grouped together in sets of 10. Having to figure out whose food/drinks were on which check was a huge PITA since typically folks are coming and going at different times due to proximity/family/life schedules.
Again, I’m still up for going, but I want to point out this problem.

According to the manager that night, this was always their policy. The waitress that night just was the first one to ever enforce it. I honestly think they did it because it was a Friday, they were busy, and the waitress was overall not very good (even by Cap City’s low standards). Probably worth seeing if they do it again. If they do, we can all leave them nasty yelp reviews and find a new place for HH
I unfortunately can’t make this HH
. I’ll be in LA visiting my newly arrived niece. I’ll make the next one though for sure.

So, if I were to eat at Cap City with my wife and son and it was crowded, I would have to find at least 7 other people with which to share a check?

ParticipantWhy wait until next month? How about we try a new place now?
Team 16 had a HH at Ragtime in Courthouse. They have an outdoor section we might commandeer. I’ve never gone on a Thursday, so I have no idea if it’s already mobbed or there would be room.April 11, 2017 at 2:38 pm #1069327Arlingtonrider
ParticipantNo worries. I’ve arranged with the manager for individual checks, but this is one reason why I try to get a head count ahead of time. I didn’t set up the last hh and don’t know if Cap City was told in advance to expect a large group. So please rsvp to me if you can. Thanks!

I’m planning on being there, somewhat begrudgingly.

ParticipantArgh. I have to drop my car off at the dealership in southern Alexandria and bike back that night.

ParticipantUpdate in case folks didn’t see the other thread:
@Arlingtonrider 158467 wrote:It sounds like a lot of people can’t make it and I know several others who would like to go to the Phoenix Bikes Makers Ball, which I forgot about (including me!), so April 20 HH is cancelled. Lots of other fun events going on this month though!
