Third Thirsty Thursday – The Sequel

Wow, you guys either want to see lots of each other this month or you just have a knack for making things complicated….. just so I completely understand:

We have a Third Thursday HH in Fairfax on the 15th because August is a blue moon month, but we also have another more centrally located Third Thursday HH on the same day OR the following week on the 22nd called “Fourth Thursday” which will be the same day as a proposed Shirlington HH…. phew…. is that right?

Sadly I will escorting my daughter to her freshman move in date at college. Empty nest countdown has begun!!!

Let’s keep this simple. Third Thursday HH is in Fairfax City for August, and in Shirlington for September.

For August only, I am organizing an “extra” HH at Capitol City Brewing Co. in Shirlington on the 22nd, which I’ll call the Aug. 22 Shirlington HH.

All who would like do do any other happy hours anywhere at any time (including Third Thursdays) are warmly invited to volunteer to organize them.

We are set for August 15th in Fairfax, I called the Green Turtle, and they are reserving both 15-20 seats of their outdoor patio seating, and their party room (if the weather is inclement – Modified Rule 9 applies (if we are dumb enough to ride out here in the rain we get rewarded with indoor seating, prior to our outdoor ride home!)

They will have ample happy hour beverage and appetizer deals so we should be set there. I reserved the space between 5 till whenever (around 7?)

Hope everyone can make it. Is anyone else interested in organizing the ride out there. Also remember the 29K bus runs from Olde Town Alexandria to Fairfax city a block south of the Green Turtle. And if sports bar fare doesn’t cut it for you I’m sure you could also get some food from the Asian Bistro (Thai/Sushi), or Bollywood Cafe (Indian) that share the outdoor seating area.
