    Kinda looks like one end is just a really wide slotted screwdriver.

    I’ve owned that tool for a while. One of the best investments I’ve ever made. Makes removing those nuts so much easier.

    I think you just can’t see the end on that pic. Mine has different patterns on the two ends, which you can see in the second photo here:

    These seem to keep it from slipping in a way that I could never get to work with a screwdriver.

    Never pass up an opportunity to add to your tool kit. My last chainring removal/reinstallation didn’t require it but it is there in the bottom of my toolbox the next time it does.

    That’s pretty much what I wrote in my review. For less than $5, buy this now, before you need it.
