ParticipantI don’t know why. I can’t understand how. But this was stuck in my head today: Happy Little Working Song sung by Amy Adams from the movie Enchanted.

ParticipantIn spite of a tepid end to BAFS 2K18, I carried this tune in my head the whole way home: Hazy Shade of Winter (Bangles)

ParticipantIs it is a quick trip to the store how about “Voyage of the 8:18”?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4w55jsodVQ
Though in this live version they bang it out in “only” 7:54.

ParticipantThere is almost always a song in my head while riding, and often I’ll title my Strava entry with the song title. I thought most everyone would know the Pretenders’ 1980 “Tattooed Love Boys” without it being it being expressly identified as a song title, but apparently (1) I am old and young folks don’t know it, and (2) that title can be misinterpreted somehow.

showing my age, when I carry that tune in my head (I must have used it as a ride title? If I didn’t I should have) I think of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3nswy0LNsE

Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier!, by Corb Lund — it’s a Canadian country concept album.
“I Wanna Be in the Cavalry” can get stuck in your head while riding; almost every song on it is good.I love his “Gettin’ Down On The Mountain“.
An excellent vignette of a post-gasoline world for playing in heavy traffic….When the oil stops, everything stops, nothin’ left in the fountain
Nobody wants paper money, son, so you just well stop countin’
Can you break the horse, can you light the fire?
What’s that, I beg your pardon?
You’d best start thinkin’ where your food comes from and I hope you tend a good gardenApril 14, 2018 at 6:24 pm #1086650infinitebuffalo

I was hoping to scale up just a tad from the acorn (see above). While I may lose some trail etiquette points I feel the safety trade-off will make it worthwhile. Drivers can ignore my lights and hand signals but they can’t ignore 500 watts of Midlake shakin’ down Eisenhower.i don’t really ride on trails much, but my Pyle Sound Box Splash ‘marine grade’ bluetooth speaker was great for commuting in oblivious Pittsburgh traffic… Not only does it hold up to weather, it’s also rugged enough it’s survived a couple drops on the pavement.
I got it on woot.com a good three years ago; it was $30 for something that supposedly listed for $145 and at $10/year was well worth it even if it doesn’t survive another summer.

You know, no matter whether acoustic or electric/pop, that riff gets you right in the ribs…and that drum line keeping the feet in sync as they mash onward. Great Link LTOM!
