The New Rules

#7 seems to imply a preference for short commutes. This is unacceptable.

I think there needs to be only 4 rules:

1: Ride your bike.
2: Have fun.
3: Don’t be a douchecanoe.
4: Don’t get killed.

#2 kills me, for I just picked up a sweet fluid cyclops. It calls me every morning like a warm siren trapped in the basement.

I know these are included in 3, but can we add “use lights” and “call passes”?

Rule 9 made me laught. I had a front mounted light and then two rear blinkies (one on bike and one on helmet). My failure? The correct number is L+1. Of course the mounted light decided to totally crap out and the battery is toasted. L+1 failure on my part.

I had FOUR lights fail on a ride last winter. Made it home on the dregs of a Spok light (Which reminds me, I gotta get some more lights!)
