ParticipantIt’s all academic anyway, but thanks for the kind write-up!

ParticipantDid you hear that the contest ended prematurely? So that means everyone can stop riding (unless you happen to be on my team).

ParticipantRankings of local teams, based on their “national scores” (includes all of their team members), scores for the entire period. Yes, I am probably missing a few teams. “Change” is the change in rank; if your teams “change” value is negative, then you dropped in ranking since June 14. Most local teams improved their ranking!!!!!

Which contest are you referring to? The Endomonodo (National Bike Challenge) contest appears to be going strong.

I believe PC was trying to convince the rest of us to just back off the miles a bit. No need ’cause the challenge is over. It is a good way for the other Bike Arlington team(s) to catch up.
Nothing to see here, you bunch of lookie loos.

…Superstars so far are consularrider and Will, with a ride every day of the competition. Consularrider has a daily average of 40 miles. Consularrider is our team’s Cal Ripkin and Will is the Energizer Bunny (or is it the other way around?). Huzzah!…

Actually, I missed seven of the first nine days of the competition because I was in Ecuador and reduced to riding a stationary bike (you don’t get any National Bike Challenge points for that even though you can log the exercise in Endomundo). Probably lost 350 potential points during that period.

ParticipantI’ve been logging my run miles too, just in case they ever decide to include run miles in the contest. Sadly, I don’t think they plan on doing that.

ParticipantAnybody know the story behind the Trek Varsity team? They are always number 1. There are a lot of high ranking Trek teams out there which I presume are somehow related to the bike manufacturer.
When do they find time to make bikes?!

ParticipantA lot of teams from Wisconsin, home of Trek Bicycle. I guess they need to test out the bikes. Or more likely, many of the employees are bike enthusiasts who bike-commute. I think they probably have lunch-hour and after-work rides too.
As for me, I missed out yesterday. My first bike-free day since late May. Darn. That will be the last day I miss (I hope). Even if I’m taking it easy on a rest day, I can still hop on a CaBi bike for 20-30 minutes of beach cruiser riding.

I think another reason for so many teams from Wisconsin is that the challenge originated there and just became national this year.

ParticipantHas anyone been having trouble importing a workout from your Garmin device? Both Monday and Tuesday Endomondo wanted found my new rides, but then didn’t give me the option to finish the import function. However, it also found two previously imported workouts and wanted to reimport those. If I deselected them, I couldn’t import anything, and if I left everything selected, it only imported the two previous workouts and not the new ones. I’m having no problems on any of the other sites (Strava, MapMyRide, RidewithGPS, Plus3, etc).

How do you explain that two of the top five teams are from Topeka, Kansas?

ParticipantThey have an active cycling community there and they ride their bikes a lot.
