Hitting up 202 Donuts in Bethesda. The donuts are smaller than some other places so you can easily sample two! I had both the key lime and passion fruit. If you like sweet and tangy, go with the passion fruit!

I stopped at Sugar Shack on Columbia Pike in Arlington today and had a carrot cake donut with a sour cream frosting.

This doughnut was a true artistic masterpiece. It is rumored that the reason that Vincent Van Gogh cut off his left ear lobe is because he could never create a painting as wonderful as this doughnut.

Another fine purveyor of donuts: district Donuts. How can one resist the touch of a blow torch? Their creme brulé is delightfully crusty on top with a cream filling on the inside.

News: Astro Doughnuts had a special Farewell Obama doughnut all week! They may still have them tomorrow, G Street store will be open, even if the street is closed, you can get there by bike! Falls Church open, too.

Sockneuring, coffeeneuring/coffeecatting, and doneuring in one prior to beerneuring. Donut was a run of the mill chocolate glazed Dunlin’ Donuts variety with a black decaf coffee. Nothing special but there are those cool socks.

Doughneuring Challenge, first of two stops.
1) Dunkin Donuts-Bristow, 12 miles into ride, chose a French Crueller, nice and airy, but not much flavor.

35 miles and there was Krispy Kreme
Chose 2, original glazed and white icing with chocolate stripes.
Original glaze was familiar and was pleasant, the white iced was ok, I guess I’m partial to the original glazed.

Jan 14, Duck Donuts in Fairfax. I had planned to sleeze ride that day, but then remembered the Doughneuring challenge gave me a good excuse to get a donut! I got a lemon glaze with chocolate sprinkles.
