It’s a good read and encouraging to see a success story in the U.S. for biking.
The fight over the lanes along Prospect Park sounds very similar to what is being waged in D.C. at the moment in Shaw. Hopefully there will be a similar outcome where safety is increased for all people using the space.
Nice read, but no, the bike wars in NYC are not over. I have been having an ongoing FB discussion with friend who lives in the UWS and who has been posting some moderately negative things about bikes (not getting angry, but simply providing info on how I ride, about relative dangers, etc – mainly trying to remind her that riders – not just folks who ride on vacation as she does – are real people).
