Krylon general purpose should be fine. You can go to autozone and buy some automotive touch-up quality stuff if you want to spend more money.
The main mistake people make while coating with aerosols is trying to rush the job and ruining it with drips. Be extremely patient, misting every application, and allow enough time to fully dry between coats if you want the strongest finish. Don’t expect to cover the underlying paint fully until after at least 3 coats, and keep going for a couple more coats even after that. Then do the same starting over with a clear protective finish.
