ParticipantGreat Pumpkin Ride 43 Mile Route
This is the RidewithGPS map which you can download to GPS or print the cuesheet for the 43 mile route, based on their published map. This is a guess and they could change the course.
It sounds like it is going to be very crowded.

ParticipantIf anyone else is thinking about doing the Pumpkin Ride tomorrow, it’s apparently currently like 10 degrees colder in Warrenton than DC, so you may want to make sure you’re looking at the right weather forecast in the morning and dress accordingly!

I’m doing the 24 mile route with my wife (starting to get her into cycling! yay!) and made my gps cue here: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3581082

Freezing when you check in and starting temperature for 9 am 72 mile route is predicted by MSN to be about 37°F. Unfortunately, the wind is supposed to pick up about the same time.

ParticipantAh, but finishing the course, the wind will be at your back (mostly). All good.
BTW NOAA does not agree with MSN (and NOAA is the source data). NOAA puts the two temps closer together. 9 am DC temp is 42 and 38 for Warrenton. So, um, that’s much better (not sure how that really helps – Warrenton will still be cold)
Again, they are expecting 1000 cyclists – and the start is 1.5 miles on an MUT. Patience will be in order.

ParticipantAt a bare minimum, the term “Insanely cold” should not apply to any temperatures above freezing.
