I love it and I hate it. It is a wonderful cyclocross race bike, but I rarely want a cyclocross race bike. It was a warranty replacement for a bike that I loved 1000 times more. This bike is lighter, faster, more agile, 3x more expensive and I’d give it up in a second for the heavy, freakish, steel bomber that it replaced.

ParticipantGreat thread, Dirt. I hope more people do this and post their results! Saving lives, man, you’re awesome!
I need more yellow reflective stickers on the frame
Of course, this doesn’t include me, which is a large part of my lateral visibility on the bike. Bright colors and my vis360 light.
DSCN0534 by certifried, on FlickrThe bike without the flash. I don’t think too many cars are running around without their lights on to active my reflective parts, but just in case…..

I am absolutely in love with the G&T. If it was my size I’d offer to buy it off you once you replace the WTF for good.

Thanks. It is a truly wonderful bike. It still gets ridden quite a bit. Now is the time of year when it really comes out to play. Get ready for gravel grinder season!!!!

Yes, my on-bar headlight is currently on my son’s bars of his BMX bike because he had his license suspended for 3 speeding tickets. /sigh
He gets his license back this week. I hope he learned his lesson.

ParticipantLast night I installed these reflective rim stripes and highly recommend them. Very easy to install and they are made by 3M so I presume they will not peel off any time soon. They come in different colors including purple(!) but some colors are not as reflective as others (see link below that shows a comparison) Shipping was fast from the company.
Here’s a pic of my bike with new red rims:

ParticipantHey, Certifried: I have the same pack you do. It is advertised as having a reflective logo, but it does not light up in your picture, especially relative to the rim strips.

I don’t think the front is supposed to be reflective, but there is a triangular patch on both “sides”, which face front and back when mounted on the rack, that is reflective.

ParticipantOne of these days I’ll take a pic of my reflective/hi-vis gear, tape, etc. I have a few things in bright orange.
The only thing is I don’t have much on my actual bikes. I’m tempted to turn my spare wheels (Aksiums that came stock on my bike) into more reflective ones with some 3M tape/etc.
