Coffee – Green Lizard and cafe amori
Beer – caboose and old ox (although old ox hasn’t happened yet)
    Pizza – Church Street
Ice cream – Nelson’s in Vienna and gelato in Reston town center.

These are all within 10 miles of our house so they are a nice ride for both of us and allow for a little rest in the middle. Gotta be careful not to over indulge on the stops or 10 mikes home can be a little unpleasant.

Spacebar in Falls Church was the last bike date for team D-Rock. It’s an over-21 establishment, so we couldn’t bring the kids, heh heh.

Although brewery visits was covered in the initial linked article, revisiting Team D-Rocks’ beerneuring locations is a good start: Atlas, Right Proper, Blue Jacket, Mad Fox, (Caboose), Old Ox, Cap City..

Mosaic in Merrifield is a super easy place to get to via bike where you can eat a lovely dinner and see a movie.

Lazy Sundae in Falls Church is a good after-dinner ice cream stop on the W&OD. You could even visit for pancakes!

GB knows the western coffee locations, but going east, Café Kindred in Falls Church is very nice.

For a longer date, we took a very nice over night trip to Leesburg. 20 miles out on the WOD, AirBnB check-in / shower and change, walk into Leesburg for dinner and drinks, coffee in the morning and then back on the trail heading home.

If I were actually looking to go around somewhere with a date by bike as opposed to going on a bike ride with a date, I would just pick a nice walkable neighborhood in DC or Arlington and take a CaBi, maybe barhop by CaBi between a few places. Somewhere with good restaurant/wine/beer/dessert options and/or clubs/bars/venues/cinemas/etc.

For a more casual morning/brunch thing I’d go with somewhere with good coffee/breakfast, for a longer weekend/holiday thing – a park/gardens/museum/gallery or similar.

Of course, it all depends on how much your date likes to bike.
