Hey all, any plans for big rides this weekend? I was thinking about joining the one at the link below on Sunday mid-morning.

Definitely going to ride big this weekend, just not sure who/what/where/when yet. Debating a chill century-ish ride for one of the days. WOD to Leesburg, grab lunch, ferry across the Potomac, C&O back to DC, grab coffee, ride back home.

That’s a bit bigger than I can handle, I’ve only gone about 30 miles at once so far. I need to remember I’m still a lightweight!

Nothing lightweight about 30 miles! I plan on doing centuries quite often and most of the time I don’t end up doing them.

Probably won’t be able to do any “big” miles this weekend but will get some in.

Probably gonna ride gravel on Saturday with some Bikenetic peeps, all are welcome. Sunyata is leading the ride, starts at 10am from Rust Library in Leesburg. 38.8 mile ride, 2500′ of climbing, expect a 13-15mph pace. Finish at a brewery as yet TBD although I’m out for that part (stupid dry January…).

Link to the route, although no winery stop, brewery at the end instead.

I always think about doing a dry January and then quickly come to my senses and have a beer.

But on a more serious note… YES! Please come ride some gravel with me! LoCo gravel is always a fun time and I poached the route that Dirt is doing today, so it will kind of be like we are riding with Dirt, but 25 hours later. :p

That’s a nice route – I’ve ridden most of it at one time or another. I’ve got a music gig Saturday night and so am not going to be up for heavy miles on Saturday. Another weekend …

What would you think about Black Squirrel? I know it’s a bit of the beaten path, but not too far from W&OD by the Dunn Loring metro.

My other half works near there and suggested that while the beer selection is pretty good, the food was consistently bad enough over multiple visits that most of the people in her office refuse to go there.

I’m always up for a ride to Caboose Brewery

I’m always down with Caboose. Pretty much down for wherever works for the most people. Some places may take me a little longer to get to coming from Clifton.
