I’m planning to start from Bikenetic around noon, ride with family on road tires, will avoid ice. Think we’ll hit 2 coffee shops maybe 25 – 30 miles if anyone wants to join. Check back here on this thread in case plans change.

Jake – have a good ride, don’t think we’ll make it down to St. Elmo’s today.

I’ll be doing the WABA women’s ride. The ride itself is 19 miles but I plan on riding from Gravelly in which will give me an extra 11 miles round-trip. ;)

SS/FG! If I didn’t already have too many bikes I’d look at a SS belt drive. I have no experience with them, but, yeah, always thought they looked interesting for low maintenance. (The 2015 Raleigh RXS specs caught my eye when it came out although I’m not a fan of the aesthetics.)

Now to step out of this team’s thread…

Got a few miles in both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was spent at Lake Fairfax in Reston enjoying the beautiful snowy single track. 😎

I did not commute to work this morning (I can do cold, I can do rain, but I can not do cold rain). But I will get a sleaze ride in this evening to the grocery store. :)

i like the clean look and idea of SS fixie but my legs have a combined age of of over 100 years. Looking at cyclocross bikes that I can adapt fenders to when needed. Might make for a winter commuter summer grinder bike. Yea that’s it it is 2 bikes worth of use in one! Easy sell on the SO.

Has everyone joined the team yet? Some teams have nine members and others have eight.

Not yet, we still have 2 team mates that still need to join – Bikewoman and Zuc.
Bikewoman tried but I botched the strava club invite – sorry my mistake. I don’t know Zuc and haven’t been able to contact yet. I’ve sent private messages to both on this forum and sent invites by strava.

Sorry but Hozn deleted you both from the Freezing Saddles website – you’ll need to re-authorize Strava here http://freezingsaddles.com/authorize

Then you’ll have to join the strava club here: http://www.strava.com/clubs/121129

Also – did you know we can post discussions on strava club? There’s a link to “discussions” – if you post there all team mates will get notifications.

Please let me know if you need any help – thanks

    Any other team name suggestions?

    – Rotary Dial
    – Bunny Slayers

Also, can I suggest that our team use the Strava Club discussions as the place for posts and communications? This thread tends to get buried with newer posts, and I think Strava notifies you when someone posts on the strava club site (is that right?)

Sorry, Initially, I made a request. Then I later saw the invite and clicked that. Nothing. Then went back to make another request to join. Finally got in.

Thanks! – I just checked the Freezing Saddles site and didn’t see you listed. If you haven’t already can you please re-authorize access to strava data here: http://freezingsaddles.com/authorize

The name “Bunny Slayers” would frustrate my attempts at more kidical miles. Now, “Mosquito Slayers” is a name my kids might rally behind…

Hi guys, just checking in! I found out last week that unfortunately the gym/shower at my office is out of order for a week or two, which is going to cramp my points. But maybe I’ll show up to work a little ripe a couple of days :D

Welcome and thanks for signing up. You’re good to go – see you on the Strava club and the Freezing Saddles leader board.

Bikewoman – you’re still not showing up on the Freezing Saddles leader board, can you try re-authorizing here: http://freezingsaddles.com/authorize
    Thanks!
