4 dots in a vertical orientation is actually the letter “L” in Gardner-Salinas braille, so perhaps something with an “L” should be used?

My idea: Lhotse Climbers

Lhotse is a mountain in the Himalayas. It’s the 4th highest mountain in the world at 27,940 feet in elevation. I think it works both with the cold weather and climbing we will do while biking.

Got some miles in today, but cut it short after I was sideswiped with a car by a lady that “didn’t see me” or the bike lane I was in. Over the bars and under a parked pickup I went. MPD came, took a report, gave her a ticket, I portaged my bike with Car2Go to Bikespace where they got it back in good working order.
I rode home, but my hip is stiff. Going to ice/heat/stretch this afternoon and hope it doesn’t keep my mileage low going forward. It happened right in front of the Argentinian Embassy, but in the hubbub I forgot to take a picture with the flag.

Ugh! Gotta say… riding on the roads today instead of on the trails was definitely UNFUN. Very impressed that police gave her a ticket. How did you manage that? Did she admit what she did or something?

I think she admitted it to MPD, there were also 3 guys who saw it happen that graciously waited until MPD arrived and told them that I was in the bike lane when she hit me.

I’m glad you’re mostly okay (and that you got some justice it seems). Definitely make a trip to the doctor if your hip doesn’t feel better just to make sure there isn’t anything more serious.

So sorry about the accident. I don’t know what we can do if drivers decide to not pay attention to us in the bike lane.
