Howdy partners! A Strava team has been created. I wrote MD/DC/TX in the box marked location and Strava has decided we are in Texas. Is everyone OK with that? I stole an image of the Texas state flag superimposed on a snowflake for our logo. We can change that. The snowflake is of the best known and loved type of snow crystal known as a Stellar Dendrite. I like Stellar Dendrites as a team name but the other team 4 members at the happy hour were less than enthusiastic so what other choices? Something with “fouritude” in it was another suggestion. What else?

    OK, here is the team

If you’re on this list, please (ask to) join this team. I will add you! https://www.strava.com/clubs/BAFS2017-Team4

    Fourmidables!

We are in third place tonight! I know some riders have not joined their teams, so this could change by the weenend, but I will bask in the glory while I can.
Also, when it is safe to ride on Saturday, go look for some Doughnuts! #Doughneuring FS17.

    Snowflakes,

We need a Team Ride! But not too early. It will be a great day, especially the afternoon.

Because we are spread out, perhaps a progressive event? Do as much or little as you like, how about a circuit entailing the Georgetown end of the CCT, ride up through Bethesda (pick up our Bethesda riders) then GTB to Silver Spring, (pick up the SS riders), take the SligoCreekTrail to West Hyattsville, (pick up College Park riders), then enjoy the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, through the city back to the CCT… Too much?
You can bail by turning around, of jumping off on the Met Branch Trail, Rock Creek Trail, or through the city.
We can plan some coffee breaks at logical places.
    Who is in?
The location with the most participants can call the timing, I guess. So the start point can be anywhere on the circuit. SS at 10:30? Shortcake Bakery in W Hyattsville, on the trail, at 11:15? Somewhere in Bethesda at XX time? Jump in here.

Once you decide, add your ride to the FS Official-ish calendar (if you don’t mind infiltrators)

All riders welcome. Route to be determined by Team 4 riders.

Meet at 11:00 -11:30 to eat, ride out around 11:30 or 11:45.

Doughneuring, Socks, Beer, and Strava art are optional pursuits.

    Team Snow Flakes!

Team 7 has been edging us out on the Leaderboard! To add insult to those miles, they are calling our Team the Snow Fleas! Or Snow Flies! A whopping insult!

We need to each do a little bit more to up our game. I’ll help, I have a new assignment starting Monday which should give me about 15 more miles on every weekday! I am thrilled.

Don’t let them call us Snow Fleas! Ride, then ride more!

and do not forget to eat doughnuts.
