    Team 7 well rep’d at Proteus coffee ride today (along with Team 4 and 6). Although I took this pic before Byron arrived!

    Hi if anybody else has day off work today but feels like commuting anyway, I’m riding down the ART from Greenbelt to Chinatown today for lunch. Full Kee restaurant expecting to arrive around 1pm-1:30pm. Great noodle soups, authentic Cantonese restaurant experience (loud, bright, plastic, cheap, great food if you order correctly).

    Thanks for the invite, I promised my wife I’d go on a hike with her today. Not nearly as fun as biking and noodles, I know.

    It doesn’t work that way. Sunyata assigns someone to the team from among those who registered late.

    Okay, thanks. I submitted a late registration and hopefully did the right thing with Strava. I’ll see if I get assigned to a team. If not, I’ll wait till next year.

    Did you register and are waiting? I know our team is also awaiting a replacement. You can still go the registration page, although I have no idea how long the list is.

    Hi Steve,

    Yes, I did register…I hope. I think I’m in waiting mode now.

    I would really prefer to join Team 7 because they are local to me, and I know some of the Proteus team. But if that is not possible I’ll be happy to join your team. After all, riding is the point, even in the cold. In the interest of full disclosure, I’m deaf — I can’t hear. I do try to put in decent mileage, though.

    Vacation and belly button repair. So we’re headed out on vacation for the next two weeks and I have to have a hopefully very minor surgery the week we get back in February, so I won’t be able to organize any rides or meetups for the next three weekends.

    Please feel free to post your ride plans here or on the Strava page (https://www.strava.com/clubs/freezingsaddles2017team7 ) in case other teammates want to join up! If you’re in our area (north Prince Geo’s county), be sure to infiltrate rides from the Fourmidable Snow Fleas and the Casual Sex team, as they will likely have some fun outings and they’re friendly to rivals.
