Looks like 10 out of 11 folks are signed up on strava now – EXCELLENT!

Throwing this question out there, anyone interested in a ride this weekend and/or coffee meet up?

I’m planning a 10am pastry ride from Proteus to Shortcake bakery on Saturday. (arrive about 10:30-45)

12pm (later than usual) coffee ride from Proteus to Vigilante coffee on Sunday. (arrive about 12:30-45)

I’ll ride in snow, sleet or rain, but will cancel for ice covered trails.

Hi everyone – Ricky here. I am bikeeveryday on the forum and twitter. I was at happy hour and met Brett. I also know Dave Helms from the Downtown Silver Spring coffee club #dtsscoffeeclub at Kaldi’s. I will be in NJ this weekend for my daughter’s rock climbing comp, but will be sleazing there depending on the distance btwn our hotel and the rock gym. Looking forward to riding with everyone at some point this winter. I also like the MagnifICEnt 7 and Refrigerant 7 team names. My “clever” suggestion is “7 degrees of perspiration” – I am a poor punster…

Yay yay yay. So no ride is “scheduled” for tomorrow due to weather, but I’ll definitely be riding myself on a hybrid with bigger tires. Given the poor conditions, it may be a good day for strength in numbers. Hit me up if anyone wants to ride together.

Laurie canceled the Proteus ride for obvious reasons, but I’m going out anyway at 10am. Heading down to UMD to pickup something at my office, then down the ART, maybe to Shortcake bakery or further depending on trail conditions. If it’s snowy or rainy it’ll be fun; if it’s icy I’ll bag it.

Anybody wants to join me I’ll be meeting at Proteus at 10am-ish and will probably get to Shortcake bakery around 11am-ish. Subject to change and chaos.

Please don’t take chances driving or riding on roads in bad weather — I’ll be staying on the bike trails as much as possible.

Sunday, Proteus is doing a 12pm coffee ride to Vigilante coffee, again in Hyattsville, arrival probably about 12:45-ish if you’d like to join or meet us.
On MLK day Monday, I’m riding down to DC on the ART to meet my brother for lunch at Full Kee restaurant in Chinatown. Leaving Proteus around 11:30am, arrival at Full Kee probably about 1pm-ish. RT 30+ miles

Rest stop at Shortcake Bakery on the Team 7 (and Millie from Team 6) rain ride today. We also rode with Kensei on the way, and ran into other WABA volunteers working to get local business support of: http://www.waba.org/advocacy/campaigns/finish-the-trolley-trail-in-hyattsville/

Not sure why the forum is turning the picture upside down, but we do look good that way.

Where’s our 11th? Having lots of fun riding, and wanting to ride even more. Won’t be at the coffee ride tomorrow, but will be out earlier in the day. Enjoy the long weekend everyone!
