ParticipantHi All!
Samantha here! I *was* able to make it so the HH last night [emoji12][emoji38]. I’m in Arlington – live & work, so I try to find ways to extend my commute. I ride road & gravel mostly. Focusing on the beer & tacos competitions this BAFS. So let’s ride some bikes, get some drinks, & eat some tacos! (& maybe some chocolate too???)

ParticipantI made it (Elizabeth I Like Wheels) to HH w/Russ and I am looking forward to increased mileage as the recent knee surgery (microfracture surgery) continues it’s “2 steps forward 1 step back” healing process. I have ridden every single day starting Jan 1…very low mileage and gradually increasing. Participating in Freezing Saddles this year has been my tunnel vision focus reward as I work through physical therapy. Hurrah for FS! I am sponsoring the #FS2020Adulting Pointless Prize so get out there and runs those errands! I am a big coffee fan, participate in a teetotal lifestyle, and definitely have a chocolate and ice cream issue. Hope to organize at least one ride once stronger! At the pace I currently ride, I fear my teammates may fall asleep behind bars.

ParticipantHello Team 2, I wanted to introduce myself and encourage others who haven’t done so, to do the same. My name is Mike, I live in Arlington and this is year 4 for me doing Freezing Saddles. I used to commute to work everyday (now I work from home part time and build/sell bikes) so it was always a great way to get me motivated to commute on those cold, dark mornings. I’m pretty flexible when it comes to riding (High School aged kids) and hope to win the BAFS $1 Million prize money this year, or at least visit a few coffee shops and HHs with my teammates and other BAFS riders.
A few things:
1. Make sure you Strava mileage is being tracked by BAFS or you don’t exist. If you’re not on by Sunday, they will replace you with someone from the wait list. See the email that BAFS sent out on Wednesday for details. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, DM me
2. Follow your fellow teammates on Strava- its a great way to keep cup with the fun rides and encourage others
3. Organize a ride, if interested, as simple as a coffee meet up with a short route. Someone will always come out to join you…
4. Check out the leaderboard https://freezingsaddles.org and make sure you’re showing up (if not, you don’t exist)I’d like to get together on Monday for a team ride, it looks like perfect freezing saddles weather! We can do just the team or link up with another FS ride.
Go ride your bike!

ParticipantHey All!
Phoenix Bikes is holding a fundraiser at Cyclebar Saturday. While you can’t earn FS points while pedaling nowhere- if anyone it interested in attending the fundraiser, I’d be happy to arrange a group ride there! I’ll also be riding a very short bit after down the road to Acme pie for post-workout refreshments!
