I(NTP)’ve been pretty happy with things as they’ve been to be honest. Plus I’m a total scrub. I like having a figurehead and the idea of this team pretty much being Bob James and his Backup Dancers makes me giggle.
I’ll be figure head team captain unless some else wants to volunteer. LSG, wheels&wings and amaliza have already done admin things for the team which is appreciated. And as I said in a prior post, everyone is riding consistently. So while I could try to be lead dancer, it might look more like this. We are indeed an ensemble cast with each rider having an equal amount of importance to the team. Ride on.

No, unfortunately I don’t have emails of everyone. We’re supposed to be able to email either from the Strava club (without seeing the strava email) or from here with private messages or email, but again we don’t see the email address sent to.
I comfortable with giving my email address. I wonder if we can do it in a private thread, on on the Strava discussion page I think only out team can see that.
I have access to email addresses from people’s registrations. (Judd and I sent out the emails from BikeArlingtonFreezingSaddles, we needed the info for that). If that’s what we want to do, I can send out a group email.

Thanks Amy. This will be a great help.

ParticipantWhat: BAFS Donut Ride – Team 21 (Open to All)
When: Fri, January 20, 10:30am – 1:00pm
Where: 10048 Market St, Manassas, VA 20110, USADescription
Get out of D.C., and the immediate area and enjoy a casual, no drop ride around Manssas and 3 Donut Shops for pointless prize points. Meet near the Smoothie King near Harris Teeter at Prince William Pkway and Liberia. For my DC -Arlington friends, no, Manassas is not an overnight trip.January 19, 2017 at 6:39 pm #1064379Bob James
ParticipantWhen: Sunday, Jan 22nd
Time: 11:30am – 3pm (approx.)
Where: Best Buns (near W&OD Mile 0). Address: 4010 Campbell Ave, Arlington, VA 22206W&OD out to Herndon Green Lizard for approx 30 minute stop for drink/snack (they have lots of beer choices). Return trip via Custis. In other words we will be doing the Arlington loop with extension to Herndon. Would probably be about 3 hours. Weather is looking good for trail riding for Sunday on the W&OD. 100% chance of cold rain. This is a rain/snow/sleet/whatever event. There is no cancellation due to weather. This is Freezing Saddles after all. Of course, I understand no one else may show up and is fully understandable:)
Hope some can make it. Feel free to invite anyone else.
Ride is open all, but I don’t know how to get on BAFS calendar.

ParticipantYou guys should probably all take it easy on Saturday. You wouldn’t want to be too tired for the big ride on Sunday. Just a sleaze and then go enjoy time with your family.

Team 15 doesn’t know the meaning of “take it easy”, but I do hope for a bike ride day Sunday. I’m sure Team 10 and the others will stay indoors where its dry and warm.

ParticipantAm I the only one who is confused by this WABA Hains Point Happy Hour announcement? At first I thought it was a designated ride-time for HP laps. But now I think it’s just a drinking opportunity at a bar called Fare Well on H Street. So it’s not actually AT Hains Point, and it doesn’t actually involve riding your bike…

You are not the only one. At first I was like, “Hooray, I won’t be the only person at Hains Point tomorrow.” But then I was all like, “Hooray, I’ll be the only one at Hains Point tomorrow.”

Right. This is a follow up to the Hains Point ride in Dec. It was a fundraiser for women & Bicycles as I understand it. I went and rode not very far but it was thn. It will be another fundraiser for that program (Waba’s women and bicycles) and I’m sure many will ride there. I may not ride there but I might go.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought for sure it was at Hains Point. I won’t be going to the Happy Hour now, but I will be doing some laps at Hains Point after work tonight before i head home.
Thanks for Wheels&Wings, Judd, Streetsmarts and LeprosyStudyGroup for pointing this out.
