You should definitely do it again. March 25-26th sounds good. If you do it before that, Team 15 will infiltrate to offset all your points and drink all your beer.

I hear there are some decent breweries out in Manassas… Maybe Team 10 can all ride out there and meet you for some brews. That way, we can all have a century and you can have 10 miles.

I’m in for this.

ParticipantI’m hosting a pie ride for Team 10 and friends this Saturday. Infiltrators are welcome, but infiltrators from Team 15 must promise to drive instead of bike between the pie stops.
The route is about 55 miles, with stops at Killer E.S.P. in Alexandria, Mom’s Apple Pie in Occoquan, Pure Pasty in Vienna, Bikenetic in Falls Church, and Pie Sisters in Georgetown. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1456950184. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at Killer E.S.P. if you want coffee and pie, roll out at 10:00 a.m.
One note: it’ll be cold and breezy on Saturday and many of these places have limited or no indoor seating, so we may be eating our pie standing up inside the store. But when the pie selection looks like this, who cares?
If you’d prefer to join us en route, send me a PM. I can provide an estimated schedule and text you updated ETAs if needed.
See you there!

I’ll be there. Can’t pass this up. Must offset someone on Team 10’s miles and pie eating. Thanks for the quasi-invite.

Any chance you can export the route so I can import it to my GPS? If it’s too much effort, no worries. Thanks!

If you go to http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1456950184 on a computer and look on the right-hand side of the page under Route Info, there’s an option to “Export this Route” as a GPX or KML file. Does that get you what you need?

ParticipantOne additional note: Killer E.S.P. is right by the staging ground for Alexandria’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. We’ll roll out well before the official parade start, but you may want to leave a few extra minutes for getting through Old Town on your way in.
See everyone tomorrow!

It does. Thank you! (And Casey for offering it as well.) If anyone else needs it, I’ve copied it to RideWithGPS: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19348018
The GPX file directly: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19348018.gpxMarch 4, 2017 at 2:49 am #1067309Bob James
ParticipantTemps may stay under 40F all day and be quite windy. Does that mean the pie ride is canceled? No wait, this is a freezing saddle event so the colder the better. Think how many
freeze points we’ll get. Can’t wait.March 5, 2017 at 1:27 am #1067347drevil
ParticipantToday was a’ight. Honestly could’ve just stayed home and binged on the latest season of Girls

Fantastic video! Thanks for coming and documenting the ride. Also, I’m in awe of your bike-handling skills. I want to be you when I grow up.

Cool video! I like the shots that were extemporaneous, showing things happening in the moment. I am envious of the deliciousness that I missed out on, and I will be keeping watch for another pie ride once I get back home from my trip 😎
