After the first month of BAFS, we’re killing it. We’re consistently about 100 points behind Team 15.

HP Laps – 1st
Sleaze Rides – 1st
Elevation – 2nd
Saddle Time – 1st

Michigander Pointless Prize – Matt
Komorebi looks to be doing really well in the Social Butterfly Pointless Prize. This looks to be our year. Keep getting on the bike every day and doing your best everyone.
We are actually in 1st for elevation. Staying Frosty has Erik B on their team, his Garmin gives him crazy elevation (60,000 ft of climbing on a 5 mile ride across flat DC), and he is pretty slow to correct it.

Team 10… now with additional bad assness. I just barely eeked out the Strava climbing badge this month. Keep climbing y’all!

All those HP laps must have given you 1, maybe even 200 ft of elevation!

My only saving grace is having to climb to the top of the Air Force Memorial on the way home from every ride.

ParticipantTo add to our Team 10 Badassery…
We have two members doing very well in the Beerneuring competition (this is really the only competition that matters, right?).
We consistently have the most team members at BAFS Happy Hours!
And… we are the only team to have not just one, but TWO members doing Dirty Kanza in June. 😎
And for a personal note:
I CRUSHED my previous highest monthly mileage by over 120 miles (WOW). Thanks for the encouragement, Team 10!February 1, 2017 at 7:00 pm #1065226QuikAF77

Kick ass month Casey, looking forward to more!

ParticipantTeam 10,
Your Captain has modestly censored himself from bragging that he is doing very well in the Doughneuring Pointless Prize category.
Since Judd’s actual points are secret, and my spreadsheet of pointlessness is equally secret, all I can say is: Keep Eating Doughnuts. In fact, maybe a Team 10 Doughneuring Ride?
Or
Join me for the Mid-February Doughneuring Madness Ride, we will circumnavigate DC, stopping at doughnut shops all around the
city (thus creating a big doughnut shape of Strava Art). Look for more info next week. Tentative date is February 11th, all day.
Weather permitting. No Hains Point laps; there are no doughnuts out there.edelweiss

This is the part of Judd’s message I clicked like for.

On about three occasions I have realized that I didn’t take a picture of my beer as I’ve walked out of the brewpub. It’s a lot more fun to play than to win.

I’m in four mid-February Doughneuring Madness, despite the terrible lack of HP laps.

I get reminded quite often that I am a winner at drinking beer. Thanks Untappd!
(Plus, checking my beers into Untappd reminds me to take a photo of it!)

ParticipantSo, Team 10 decided to do a little beerneuring excursion to the west yesterday. We had a pretty impressive showing with seven team members showing up at some point or another on the ride. And we squeaked back into first place, too!
Huge thanks to everyone that came out (including the infiltrators!). We hit up six breweries, grabbed some beerneuring points, got some excellent miles in, and just generally had an awesome day on the bike.

Clockwise from the bottom left: Cara (non-BAFS participant), komorebi, Judd, reji (Team 9 infiltrator), fxbooks, FIX_BKS, sunyata, D_a_n_e (another Team 9 infiltrator), and bhawk (team 16 infiltrator).
We had QuikAF77 (pulling out a Jenga piece) and pdubs (apparently the only picture I got of him was facing away from the camera) catch up with us at later breweries.
We also had another infiltrator from Team 9 (ctankcycles) and an accidental infiltration from team 21 (noodles). (Pictures in the Social Butterfly thread.)Cheers! We should do it again!

ParticipantThanks for organizing Sunyata. Would definitely do again. Sorry that I couldn’t do all the stops but yesterday was the best day to make sure that I got the February Century completed.
