    1. The object is to visit as many DIFFERENT, taco places as possible (on your bike, of course!) and taco one up. But once you visit one taco place, that’s it. A second visit doesn’t count on the tacometer

    2. Taco Bell is verboten. But other chains, e.g., District Taco, etc., are fair game. However once you visit one chain taqueria that’s it. A visit to the same but at a different location doesn’t count.

    3. “Sweaty Tacos” , e.g., Baja Fresh, etc., is OK but subject to the same conditions as in #2 above.

    4. Trucks, restaurants, and even fast food joints that serve tacos are also OK but subject to the same conditions as in #2 above.

    5. For your ride to count, use #FS2020tacoloco in your Strava ride title and include the name of the place you visited, e.g., #FS2020tacoloco Espita

NOTE: Posting of taco rides is totally honor system, i.e., I’m assuming you’re following the rules. Not required, but encouraged, is to also post pics on your Strava. And if you want to post your Strava ride link and pics on this thread for all to see, that would be fun too (but not required).
ANOTHER NOTE: Because of the way the tracking of rides works, if you visit two different places on a single ride it will only count as a single taco ride. If you want the second visit to count, you need to make it a separate ride. So that means ending your ride at the first taqueria. And then starting a new ride from there to the second taqueria so that they’re recorded on Strava (and appropriately tagged) as two separate rides.

    6. The winner will be whoever has done the most taco rides.

    7. The tiebreaker will be whoever has the craziest taco story to tell.

    8. If needed, the second tie breaker will be whoever has visited the most “sweaty taco” places.

    9. FINALLY, these riders are welcome to play and are eligible to win because they’ve previously won a competition and I want to give them a chance to win again: Go for it you loco Kids: consularrider, bikedavid, Robin B, and Josh A.

    10. Pointless prize boilerplate legal jargon brought to you by Chuck’s Legal Coffee Co.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Get your taco game on!

I just hit up Chaia Taco in Georgetown, which I believe is taco hunt #2. Unfortunately I just ate lunch, so I only ordered one taco — the braised mushroom (minus the crema). Very good!

See! Now that wasn’t that hard! Three points for you! On your 3 next rides add the Regular hashtag and TaCoHunT So that you get those points on the board.

Apparently you can get iguana tacos in Miami. Since they are an invasive species, you are doing good by eating them!

    TACO HUNT #3

Last week josh claimed it in less than a few hours… He might be Tacoclairvoyant.

    Clue –
After the veggie interlude we are back to a traditional style taco. Authentic? yep. Caliente? Siiiii. Veggie options, yeah they have a mean nopal taco.

Set up on a hill surrounded by other great establishments this dc spot won’t disappoint.

    TACO HUNT3 is ON!!!

Last night I ate Impossible Tacos at Farmers Fishers Bakers at Georgetown Harbor. Salt bombs which were appreciated given my bike activity for the day.

I have such a love hate relationship with the Founding Farmers restaurants. The terrible post review was deserved, but I like the cocktails they make and the food verges on really tasty. It’s a bit like going to a Guy Fieri restaurant. They are both flashy, but surprisingly do reasonable job of accommodating vegans.

Yeah I agree always though that their food was either a hit or a brick but their drinks are always on point.

It seems this place is temporarily closed for renovations! They do have a sister place down the street…

Found! While Taqueria Habanero is sadly temporarily closed for renovations, their sister restaurant down the street is now open for business: Tequila & Mezcal! I’m not partaking in their namesake tonight, but the al pastor tacos are delicious and beer cold!
