Click “Like” if you would like to celebrate the post-Vasa ride party (after having blueberry soup, of course) at Bardo’s (http://bardodc.com/) for a beerneuring opportunity. Bardo’s is about 4.5 miles from the House of Sweden, and we can get there by crossing DC on L street for most of the way. Bardo’s (1200-1216 Bladensburg Rd, NE. DC) opens at 1 pm on Sundays. Estimated time of departure from House of Sweden will be somewhere between 12:30pm to 1pm (subject to change)

What time does the caravan for the full ride set out from the Custis+WOD intersection?

As per Steve O, the Fearless Leader of the Busters has indicated, 7:35.

Let’s say wheels roll at 7:35 AM for anyone who wants to join the convoy.

Apologies to all, but I am too ill to make the ride or lead the convoy. If I truly rally I may come down at the end to see my friends. Thanks, PPete for leading the convoy in my absence. Have a great ride, all!

I volunteered to Marshall the 59 mile route, and need to get there early, so will blow through the rendezvous point at 7:15am, should anyone care to join me (at a brisk pace)

Sorry to hear about Steve O’s illness. Nothing changes time-wise: we meet at the WOD/Custis intersection at 7:35 for those who wish to convoy in to the start of the Vasa.

    Looking forward to the ride!

I’ve been feeling a bit exhausted today (despite pie), so will see how I feel by morning. The fact that this could make it a 100-mile weekend is tempting though.

Good to see folks there. I saw dcv, Bilsko, Rod Smith, Boomer2U, f148vr, Rootchopper, jopamora, consularrider, ramblingrider, Bruno Moore, bluerider and a bunch of bikedc/FCC I folks – and also rode most of the ride ShawnoftheDread. A good part of the ride was chilly and headwindy but for the return leg the wind turned around. Until we got to Virginia that is – but at least then the sun came out.

The blueberry soup served by the Swedehearts was the highlight of Vasa, as usual :-)
