Hello, I’m new to this forum. I hope this is a good place to ask this question.

I’ve looked at google’s suggested route. It makes sense to take Beach Dr. down to Sherrill Dr., NW, which turns into Aspen.

At that point, it looks like anywhere is possible! Thus, thought I’d find out if someone knows better.

I’m familiar with the route up until Sherrill. I was going to take 14th Street down to Hamilton over to Ft. Totten, then to John McCormack. Catholic U boarders John McCormack of course.

    Any suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

    Bob

After Aspen take 3rd and you can just follow the MBT trail signs to get to Catholic. There is a new traffic light at Hamilton and N. Capitol that makes following the trail easier.

Taking 14th to Irving (sidewalk along the hospital) to Michigan would work out too.

Here is a third option Coming back this way means you get to climb Tilden

The climb up Sherill and Aspen is not fun. It’s not quite as bad as my Beacon Hill fun times, but it’s no cakewalk. On the plus side, there isn’t a lot of vehicle traffic on it although be cautious as I think at least one bus line does randomly go down Aspen.

This is very true. But it is doable, and my son and I did it often when he was riding stoker on the trailer cycle at about age 5-6. That was before the days of Kidical rides so it was just us.

(The latter sentence in an entree for dasgeh to make another pitch for the Kidical ride THIS SUNDAY).

The going down part is fun though: Those crazy kids
