ParticipantAfter LeprosyStudyGroup, Judd, and I dressed up as gnomes on foxes for last year’s Great Pumpkin Ride, Judd challenged me to create a Strava art fox. I’ve been working on the design for a while, but this challenge motivated me to finish it. Here’s my fox:
The image above is rotated to make it easier to see the fox. The actual design is upside down, as you can see from this Strava link: https://www.strava.com/activities/879207074.
Judd and Steve O joined me for the ride, and were great sports even when the route took us through construction sites, fenced-off playgrounds, and up and down stairs. We capped off our ride by having a celebratory drink at Mad Fox Brewing Company.

ParticipantA close study of your magnificent art ride allowed me to enjoy your adventure vicariously. Loved the pics of stairs (been there).

ParticipantEntries to the BAFS 2017 Strava Art competition are now closed. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winner from the good people at PWC, and in the meantime, feel free to keep making (and sharing) pictures out there on the road. As Picasso said, “Don’t be an art critic, but paint, there lies salvation.” Actually, it was Cezanne who said that. Fucking PWC.

ParticipantThese are well past the deadline, which is a good thing for all the other entrants, since they would have totally won all the prizes.
Others are inspired by nature, or politics, or the human condition. I am inspired by the great artists of the 20th century.

ParticipantA tip of the beret to everyone who participated. Big kudos to Komorebi, this year’s first runner up (for Hain’s Point fox that looks like a racoon) and to our winner, FastFriendlyGuy, who is both talented and prolific. And, I assume, fast and friendly.

Great presentation last night Allan. I’m glad that you brought print outs to share. The shirt that you got Komorebi is really cool and I am totally jealous.
Also, I can confirm that Dave is both fast and friendly.

ParticipantThanks, Allan! I thought that either bikedavid’s Trump portrait or Fast Friendly Guy would win, so I was completely surprised when you called out my name. And the shirt is awesome. I will wear it with pride.
