    It looks like the section from what whould be N Lincoln down to the N 18th St access.

    FMR trail across from Shirlington looked completely clear this morning, at least from across the street. (Couldn’t tell if there was any black ice, but there didn’t appear to be any.)

    There were lots of sections on the 4MRT with snow patches/ice. For the most part you could avoid the worst, but there are tricky spots out there. The corner on the eastside of S Shirlington Rd was particularly bad as was the right angle turn where the new portion of the trail rejoins the original trail after passing under W Glebe.

    Thanks so much for that info, Chris! I had been seriously thinking about trying to go for a little snow ride right through the areas you described, but that might not be such a good idea.

    I rode home via 14th St bridge, MVT, 4MR and W&OD to near East Falls Church. Took it easy and overall not too bad. Only some problems with ice on the W&OD toward the end of the ride.

    If I find it, I’m holding it for ransom until the person who lost it agrees to stop using *@&*$# Yahoo mail. I’d have to create a throwaway email just to contact her so I don’t get spammed next time her account gets hacked.
