They argue and squabble about everything?

I’m offering a pointless prize called the Spirit Award this year. The prize will be awarded to an individual who embodies the spirit of Freezing Saddles by encouraging others and doing things that help build a stronger Freezing Saddles and bike riding community. Tell me about the cheerleaders on your team. Some examples I can think of from past years:
Ian Fingerman introducing me to other participants and pulling me into conversations the first year I played.
Kate’s constant promotion of doughneuring.
Sunyata’s introduction of Social Butterflying, Infiltrating and Sock Game.
Komorebi preventing me from quitting Freezing Saddles last year after a mental breakdown.
LSG dropping off a goodie bag during my other mental breakdown during last year’s Freezing Saddles.
Ricky D showing up to like every group ride last year.
Eric Williams going on 150 mile rides in 20 degree weather.Tell me about a team member that has somehow inspired you, motivated you, helped you or done something awesome for our community.
Judd,
I love this prize. However, reading your post, I wonder how many “mental breakdowns” may have been related to HP laps. Kudos!

Both of them happened on the backside of Hains Point, so 100% of them. If the road was closer to the water, my bike probably would have gone over the fence into the Potomac at one point.

Judd – I love your FS and bicycling spirit! And…. I’m not always good at balancing/knowing when to pull back. But I think if you are ever feeling unhappy or breakdowny enough to consider pulling out of FS, that’s a red flag. Winning the hamster award is cool, but having you in FS is cooler.
I didn’t know about your breakdown last FS… but I’m sorry to hear about it, and very glad you got talked into staying. I think if you ever start thinking that way again hoy should cut back or lead a group ride instead (your prez day ride last Feb was awesome) I’d whatever you hafta do so you get happy playing again. I love FS – and it wouldn’t be the game without you.
