It’s much easier to roll up your khakis than to try to stuff them in your sock. :p

I ride for convenience with contemporaneous exercise as a byproduct. I am not a fan of bike lanes, salmoning, ignoring traffic rules (by drivers and cyclists), lycra, bicycles designed after 1990, and evangelical environmentalism.

Unless you’re wearing flip-flops! Speaking of which, is it just me and my flip-flops, or did the 105 degree temps a few weeks ago make the 90 degree temps completely bearable and the 70/80 degree temps in the morning downright chilly?

Yeah, the weather has been awesome since the heat wave.

I’m a little surprised that none of the articles mentioned CaBi – that was my gateway to buying a bike, and it’s changed the way I look at the city. Even though I rarely ride one anymore, I wouldn’t be biking to work if not for CaBi. And I think the increase in cycling that it’s helped cause is beneficial for everyone.

I think residents take their parking seriously. If parking spaces are going to be ripped out in favor of bike lanes on my street I want to know beforehand and maybe argue for permit controlled parking. I’m all skippy happy about bike lanes but not without notice if my parking situation is going to be adversely affected.
