That seems like some low down stuff that I’d expect from Powerful Pete, but not you Steve O. Are Boomer and I the only respectable ones left?

From left to right around the table: sjclaeys, Fast Friendly Guy, CBGanimal, bentbike33, ginacico, accordioneur, Bob James, and Jenkinms (at his first HDCC — welcome!). That’s lordofthemark in the back, walking toward the table.

Sorry for the blurry photos. Best Buns’ coffee was extra-caffeinated this morning, apparently.

ParticipantIt looks like Fast Friendly Guy has the lead with six events attended. Komorebi is a close second with five events attended. CBGanimal is in third with four events attended.
There have been ZERO infiltrations yet! Hopefully now that the teams are all(most) formed up, group rides and other events will start happening with some frequency.

ParticipantFirst one of these I’m posting even though I’ve been at some coffee clubs and happy hour cavorting with the enemy. A nice Port City Pedals and Pints Short Ride today.

ParticipantJust a reminder that events must have the minimum number of participants in order to count.
Keep it up though!

What is a social event, you ask?
1) A BAFS happy hour (such as the opening happy hour happening on Tuesday) that is publicly posted and open to all participants of BAFS and has a minimum of nine other BAFS attendees (ten total)
2) A BAFS team specific happy hour planned by members of one team that is either publicly or privately posted and has a minimum of three other BAFS attendees (four total)
3) A BAFS organized ride of greater than 4.99 miles that is publicly posted and open to all participants of BAFS and has a minimum of nine other BAFS attendees (ten total)
4) A BAFS team specific ride of greater than 4.99 miles planned by members of one team that is either publicly or privately posted and has a minimum of three other BAFS attendees (four total)

6) A coffee club with at least five other BAFS attendees (six total)
7) Any other bike-related event (for example, Monster Cross or a bike related movie at Arlington Draft House) with at least five other BAFS attendees (six total)For all non-ride events, photos are required that name (forum user names please) all BAFS participants and describe the type of social event.
For all ride events, photos that name (forum user names please) all BAFS participants and a Strava link are required. Please advise the type of ride (BAFS general, BAFS team, Shop, Coffee, etc).Photos (and strava ride links) should be posted in this thread. Only one BAFS participant needs to post, everyone that attended will get credit.
Bonus points will be awarded for any event where at least 9 team members participate.

Can we DQ Steve O for cheating? It’s like last year’s coffeeneuring challenge all over again.

We had 3 members of Team 15 on the ride (well sort of) and Steve O. infiltrated our ride. Our other team member, Nadine Beck, was attempting to find us on the trail. We kept missing each other. We communicated on our ride via text messaging. We even had a pass-by when we stopped at Whole Foods in Vienna and Nadine cruised right past our locked bikes. Since we organized and attempted coordination of the the ride and essentially rode the same course within reasonable time of each other (even stopping at Green Lizard), team 15 stands by it had 3 members on this Team ride. While still not the requisite 4 team members, I weigh about as much as 2 thin/small BAFS participants, so that should count for something.

Total of 4 BAFS participants, not team members. Now we go to NYC for the instant replay ruling. Will the call on the field by upheld, or overturned?

Do all 4+ people have to be there at the same time? Last Friday IanH, DismalScientist, RHH and I had a happy hour at Westover Beer Garden, but not everyone was there at the same time.
My Strava is here.
I brought my Instamatic camera but was out of flash cubes and so couldn’t get good pictures in the dark.
