This evening’s ride was great, the car traffic on the way out of DC was oddly light. Way better than Friday’s mess!

Stopped to check on some folks with mechanicals along the way, the first guy was OK and the second guy had his earphones up so loud he couldn’t hear me from 3 feet away. Saw a guy on a longboard take an epic tumble on one of the airport access bridges but he was OK too. :)

I have now completely psyched myself out on that stupid right hand downhill turn on the Shirlington ped bridge to the point where I can’t do it at all. Almost fell over today because I was going too slow and had to get off & walk it. Gotta get over that!

I did the whole ride in one go tonight instead of stopping in Shirlington like I usually do so that I could make it home by sunset, so that was good anyway.

    Also, mosquitos! Bleah!

But there are so many good reasons to stop in Shirlington and watch the sunset. Or is that only on the third Thursday of the month? :)
