Welcome. If I do see you, I don’t imagine I’ll be able to miss you in a jersey like that. If you see someone one a white Giant road bike yelling at illegal u-turners on PA Ave, that would be me. Probably.

Welcome to the area! The riding is pretty good around the area, but for great road rides, you really need to get out of town a bit. There’s tons of good places to mountain bike within an hour of Shirlington. It helps to have a car, but you can often hook up with people who will pick you up for a ride.

I’m pretty easily identifiable. I’m usually riding a pink bike and taking photos of roadies with stunned, confused looks on their faces. ;)

We’ll catch up for a ride soon.

    Catch up with you soon.

    Welcome! Welcome!
Great design, colorful without looking like a NASCAR. I approve despite its lack of sparkles.

Besides this board, check out WABA for events that will amuse and astound you. That would be the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, not to be confused with the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action. I’m sure their events would amuse and astound you too, but in a different way. :)

Do whatever Dirt says. It’s easier that way.

You live where all the beautiful people live so no doubt you’ll have fun.

    Happy Bunny Hops,

You’re right. And no evidence of “flying over the handlebars” scars. Hmmm….a cycling imposter perhaps?

Everybody on high alert: keep an eye out on the trails for the cycling jester!

Hahaha i welcome it all quite happily. That was the whole point of the kit, to be as obnoxious and colorful as possible, just because we could. The back of it has “TEAM SLOW BIKE” written in massive letters. If you head up to Boston there’s about 20 other owners of the kit, we also have one in France, and another in Seattle :).

I tend to heal well in most instances, but my elbows and palms usually take the brunt of the falls when I’m mountain biking, I’ve never gone down on my road bikes though! except on grass, ice, and snow…which don’t really cut you up.

And like some of you won’t ever be caught in spandex, you’ll never catch me shaven.
