Last week I noticed a sink hole in the pavement about 1 meter east of yellow marker 23. It was the size of a golf ball. Monday it was the size of a tennis ball. Today it is the size of a baseball.

By my calculations, if it keeps growing at this rate, it will have swallowed 70% of North Arlington by the end of the year 2020. By the turn of the Century, Most of Virginia, Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay will have been completely engulfed. Life as we know it will not survive the next millennium.

Someone must act NOW! I’ve already notified Congress and the Obama Administration. FEMA is working out an evacuation plan. I thought I’d also post up here so that you all can join in the fun.

    Love,

    Pete

PS: I’ll post up a link for some organized post-sink hole looting when the end is near. (Just kidding about that last part.)

And not to be confused with any other holes you might come across while using the trails.

Jump on it the way that people jump on grenades in war movies. Take one for the team!

Spectators were gathering to see how huge it has become.

But seriously…. Most of the soil under this section of trail has eroded away. If this isn’t fixed, that whole area will likely cave in.

I heard back from Arlington on this. They’ve sent someone out to inspect it and will take action.

I have received no responses from any of the other agencies that I contacted. I will be contacting the United Nations later today.

Newsflash: The hole will not be filled in since the Fish & Wildlife Service has determined that it is a critical watering hole for endangered duckies. It is now considered a protected wildlife habitat and a cordon area of 100 miles will be established as soon as the various governmental agencies figure out who has jurisdiction. To that end, I spied bean counters on the George Mason bridge this morning counting cyclists (a.k.a. duckie killers).

Hahahahahaha. “It’s not a sink hole. It’s a wetland that must be preserved.” Bwhahahaha
