I’m good with that, I actually like that better,
I’ll create a spread sheet and document everyone’s elevation as of February 28th at some obscure time when I’m home.
The first 5 people to get an additional 20,000 feet will get One Free Beer, That’s an average of 1000′ per day
The first 5 people to get an additional 40,000 feet will get TWO Free Beers, That’s well MATH, you get itI like the ZERO sum starting point. I Think this is as fair as it’s going to get. Twice the work twice the fun, and I would like to make it into a race with lots of people trying. Set the suffer score high
Any suggestions beyond that?
You miiiight be able to get hozn/jrenaut to do it automagically. Also, that might end up being a lot of beers, just based on things that have happened in FS before (I guess it’s a max of 10, so at happy hour $2 price it’s no big deal).

ParticipantYeah, I might raise the minimum to 40k for March 1 through end of competition. I mean 1k/day is a lot, but I am doing that for Feb climbing challenge and don’t feel like I have yo go much out of my way to get there.

Very true. Aw but, I said first 5 to get there, That could be one day if your crazy enough….
I suppose that would take the fun out it if people do 3 rides and get there. maybe 40k and 60k would yield a little more fun???Hopefully Strava will have March climbing challenge. Then everyone who wants in can just join the challenge. Would be real easy to track that way. And yes, need to feed the child, so 10 beer maximum!

ParticipantHa, sorry, I got distracted and forgot your original qualification. Yes, first 5 works either way IMO. And we can make some sort of chart or simply a backend query to get you this data when you need it.
I love climbing, but holy crap vicegrip is going crazy with the elevation this winter!

If you get them drunk enough you could just mug them on the way home and they’d be none the wiser. You would probably come out ahead in that case.

Yes I have a suggestion. For Dogs sake take some days off. You are very hard to catch up / keep up to.
How about First 5 to 100,000, top 5 and Top 5 in March. I will cover the March Mountain Madness hard finishers beers. MMM gives a clean 0.0 reset for all and defined start stop.

That could work, if you got March starting at 0, ill get the first 5 100k and top 5 overall. Maybe we’ll get to swap a few beers!
OK Making the criteria official….
First 5 riders to 100,000 Thousand Feet – Get one free beer
Top 5 Riders overall for the entire duration of freezing saddles – Get two free beersGood luck
