I haven’t had a fitting session yet, but I’d like to do one soon. From what I’ve seen here on the Forums, Clovis over at Freshbikes is pretty highly regarded:

If you’re looking for the top-of-the-line service, then I’ve read/heard that the fitting equipment they use at Parvilla (Edgewater, MD) is supposed to be exceptional.

Its not cheap, but depending on your needs it might be worth the money.

If you’re not looking to drive as far for fancy fitting technology, Revolution Cycles in Clarendon has the same Retul system and CycleLife in Georgetown has a fancy 3d/laser system too.

When I did it three years ago, CycleLife had multiple levels of fit to choose from ($150 – $300, I think) and Josh was awesome.

I think Laurie’s scheduling pro fits at Proteus again starting after August 23rd, when she finishes her certification. Until then, maybe you could get a semi-pro fit!

For what it’s worth (not much), my issues with minor knee tendonitis cleared up fairly quickly when I added leg extension on my commuter bike.

Thanks everyone for the great advice, I will let you know what I do and how it goes!
