    It’s also annoying when you stop and then a cyclist coming from behind you doesn’t stop at all and screams by. Then you feel obligated to take the Help from McHelperton and you seem like the douche who held up everything.

    I’ve had quite a few incidents in general over the last few days, not sure if there’s something in the air. Two skid stops for pedestrians – in both cases they apologized – one was on their phone with their leg in a cast crossing K St on a red without checking at all, WTF. One skip stop for a vehicle (also apologized), and a couple other close calls where I just let the vehicle through assuming they weren’t going to see me (they didn’t). I think it’s because I’ve been riding in closer to peak time and also doing more miles in DC.
