    From WaPo:

Authorities had few details of the accident, which occurred about 6:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Maryland Avenue, between the L’Enfant Plaza Metro and the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum. It also is near the U.S. Department of Education.

I hope the cyclist will be okay.

It was at MD and 6th? Not very fast roads. Hope the cyclist is ok. I used to work back that way and never thought it could be a problematic intersection.

I’m pretty sure there was a pedestrian killed there a few years back — speeding driver ran a red…

a FEMA friend told me one of his colleagues got hit last week close to work…this could be the guy…he wasn’t wearing a helmet…an FAA guy who is also an EMP happened to be near the scene and said the cyclist was pretty banged up…don’t know the details but do understand the cyclist is recovering…
