I so want a ticket for “Failure to exceed posted maximum speed”.

There are hinder traffic flow tickets in some jurisdictions which some have argued are that. Usually reserved for those doing 65 in the left most lane on a multilane highway.

Also remember not to consider the classic Secret Service and the Secret Service Police, known as the US Secret Service Uniformed Division, as the same thing. There are a lot of differences and rivalry between those two. Rivalry may be too weak of an adjective, it is full on contempt.

Yeah, I’d probably be mad too if I had to work night shifts in the cold while the other guys had orgies in tropical hotels.

Have badge, will travel (and kinda know what I’m doing, but not entirely. That’s what the gun is for)

Maybe it’s the existential internal clash of being part of a secret organization but also wearing a conspicuous uniform out in public. That has never seemed very secret to me.

    Comment #1 for the win:

“The guy doesn’t know the law, but he does have a gun. Maybe they can request $8 million to make a replica Beach Drive so that they can receive training on it.”

    Oh snap.

We have a pattern. Someone’s gone rogue on them.

In my experience, the Uniformed Secret Service is the biggest bunch of glorified rent-a-cops I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing overstep their nonexistent authority. They make Paul Blart, Mall Cop look like Joe Friday.

    From that article:

    Riding too slowly

If there is no bike lane, keep up with the speed of cars, or ride close to the right-hand curb. Bike law doesn’t specify how close.”

What does that even mean? Is 4 inches close enough? 4.63 inches? 5.28 inches?
