ParticipantRiding the Assateague route. If my friend is in tow I will be his lead out train. If not, I’m going to try and better my Amish Country Bike Tour time.

ParticipantThe National Hurricane Center’s projection maps for where Hurricane Mathew might go certainly bear close study.

ParticipantI will be there with Ryan S. doing the Assateague route. Dave S. and Jean D. are planning to ride tandem. Hoping Matthew only brings wind, but no rain on Saturday…

ParticipantWe’re riding the Assateague route, on single bikes I’m pretty sure.
Latest hurricane forecast looks like it’s no threat to the ride, may not even get any rain.
Here’s a RWGPS version of the route, though I’ve never really needed guidance other than following the road markings and sticking with other riders.

ParticipantWeather Underground has cut the forecast rain amount by nearly half and pushed the worst of the rain later in the day. It’s gonna be a beautiful day.

ParticipantRelive it: https://www.relive.cc/view/738370361
temps were perfect; light rain, but no downpours; some headwinds on the way to Assateague, tailwinds mostly back to Salisbury.

ParticipantThe reliveit is a lot more interesting on the long rides.
It was my first time visiting Assateague so that was neat. The weather was kind of dreary which led to an all business ride for me. I ended up pacelining instead of looking around at the scenery.
