I’m not really sure how that would be done. The leaderboard is synced directly from the Strava information, which does not show forum names.

You could check with hozn, who runs the leaderboard, on whether there is a way to do this. Or whether he would be willing to put up a spreadsheet with forum names linked with Strava names somewhere on his site, which would probably be the more practical option. But in the absence of that, the easiest way to contact someone on the leaderboard is to click on the name, which takes you to their Strava page, then write the message as a comment on a recent ride. You can even give your forum name, and ask that they contact you on the forum.

If we have both in the registration data (I think so?) then we could maybe add this to the site. But it is true that currently there is currently no external data in there. You can always send them a message on strava too.

Many people use screen names for a reason. Can I recommend maybe not posting people’s real names without their permission??

Yeah, this is a good point. I don’t think we should do it.

I prefer not having my screen name linked with my name.

Afraid we’ll figure out that you’re heir to the Dr. Pepper fortune? Too late, ha ha!

While I actually agree with you in regards to privacy etc…

It seems silly when you see everyones real info on the leader board and you have no idea who they are on the forum. That said I formally invite you to tell me your name should you wish. Otherwise I suppose posting that information isn’t fair. Let’s keep the forum a safe place where people can troll one another relentlessly without fear their Stava profile will suffer any consequences;)

My real name is Boomer. I made up the “2U” surname to distinguish myself from the other Boomers out there in Tapatalklandia.
