Save the Date – Opening Zoom happy hour/team assignments on January 7

Normally, teams are announced at an in-person happy hour near the beginning of January. Obviously, that can’t happen this year. However, we will be holding a Zoom happy hour January 7 at which team assignments will be announced. The agenda is as follows:

• [FONT=&amp]7:24: Move to Pre-assigned Breakout Rooms for Teams – BA Staff

Anyone who cannot attend the meeting can find out what team they are on by checking the forum the next morning. It is very critical that you either attend the happy hour or check the forum to find out what team you are on, and join that team’s Strava club. People who do not join their team’s Strava club on a timely basis will be dropped from the team.

Login information will be provided at a later date. However, since we’re already getting questions about it, this will serve as an advance announcement.

I believe Zoom has a “mute all” button.

Will there be at least one admin monitoring the mute all button, the break out rooms, etc and doing nothing else? My synagogue has found that very helpful for large Zoom gatherings – we call the individual the “Tech Gabbai” (think “Tech Beadle”) We do something similar at work (though we use MS Teams, not Zoom)

email the link to register to every person registered for FS2021. Put something in Subject line like SUPER IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

Repeat SUPER IMPORTANT MESSAGE in the body of the email. Just sayin’.

However, it looks like I can register again, and it tells me what the Zoom information is. *shrug*
