I know you’ve all been patiently awaiting further instructions for the Mardi Gras parade, and although I would like to officially open the floor for volunteers to step forward, I cannot provide exact details yet.

Some of the stuff from last year stays the same: the parade starts at 8pm and will be starting in Courthouse and ending in Clarendon; there will be a pre-parade party at Bayou Bakery (unaffiliated with us, but sounds fun)…but it sounds like you guys have plans to have your own Fat Tuesday happy hour; and of course we’ll be throwing beads and candy at…sorry, to the crowd on bikes!

Once we get the details firmed up on where we will be meeting, I will promptly inform you all.

Hi everyone—here’s a quick follow up with details for Tuesday’s Mardi Gras Parade.

We’ll be meeting and staging at the corner of Wilson Blvd and Veitch (by the new Dunkin Donuts!). See the attached image for the location call out. Let’s plan to meet promptly at 7:30pm because the parade starts at 8, and we want to make sure that we get beads passed out to all the volunteers.

I would like to come with 2 year old. We wouldn’t CaBi, of course, but would be on the eBike + BoBike mini (maybe the WeeHoo). But I hesitate to make any promises. Is a maybe ok?

Sounds good. Bring the Weehoo, there will be some start and stopping and you may have your hands off the handlebars throwing beads!
