SATURDAY Anacostia Clean-up still ON?

Yes, it is still on. NPS will not be doing any trash cleanup along the riverbanks, where much of the trash is accumulating. Good news is, we can place our trash/recycling for collection and we may have operational toilets for Saturday! Yay! Also, given the weather forecast, we may need to call it early depending on how cold we get. But, I’ll be handing out extra recycling bags, trash bags, and gloves for you to take with you if you want to continue beautification a little closer to home.

Thank you Sara Bee! I will plan on being there. I did notice a ton of debris at rivers edge, but it looked like it was in the water. But I am sure we will find plenty of garbage. I will bundle up, likely park at Hains Point. I will keep an eye on the snow and will likely NOT COME if snow falling or imminent. Regards Jessica. PS My cell 240 286-4815
