Thanks to Laurie and Jeff for organizing! Everyone was in good spirits despite the rain. Nice to meet Dickie and glad the vertigo is under control. Riding with Bilsko afterwards left me thinking of riding more, good luck training for the Fleche.

I am amazed at what Team 26 accomplished physically, but can’t imagine what they’ve gone through emotionally. I truly hope and wish that Congress hears the message that they rode down here to deliver.

I made it home in time to go pickup the kids from school and this ride gave me a greater appreciation for how lucky we all are.

What a great day – stressful, but great. Thank you Dickie for changing my flat! It’s kinda weird to go from ride leader to back of the pack :-) But wouldn’t have met up with Bilsko if I hadn’t had the flat, so there you go. Special thanks to the most awesome Greenbelt for getting everything set up. So glad we could support the Sandy Hook folks!

Great job, Jeff and Laurie and Ben, for your help with this effort. I got bogged down with work, so couldn’t meet up as planned. I sure hope the SHROW rider’s effort impressed a legislator or two and caused them to think about this issue. If nothing else, a great tribute to the victims. Thanks to the riders who rode in memory of those no longer with us.

I’ll look through all the pics my wife and I took, as well as Greg.. I’m sure we can find one! I’ll post once found.
