Runaway dump truck almost kills a cyclist in Ballston

I half expect the courts to find some way to make this the cyclist’s fault.

Of all the vehicles on the road, dump trucks and dump truck drivers scare me the most. The combination of size, weight, and the drivers’ complete disregard for people around them make these things terrifying to be around. It seems like all you need to drive these things is a 6th grade diploma and an extremely basic comprehension of driving laws. 18 wheelers can be scary when they pass you, but at least the damn drivers have respect for other people.
